Surveillance Investigator


Summary: Ensures protection of company assets and safety of guests and associates through routine and assigned surveillance activities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs close watch duties as assigned.
Maintains familiarity with gaming law, regulations, company policies and procedures.
Receives periodic on-the-job training.
Diligently monitors all company assets as well as monitoring all associates for procedural violations.
Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of procedures and policies for all departments.
Enforces department procedures by observing activities and ensuring all policies, procedures, and regulations (State, Federal, and/or Tribal) are followed.
Documents and reports any failure to comply with company policy, suspected criminal activity or unusual activity or activities and occurrences.
Notifies Director of Surveillance, Commissioner(s) and management as directed of suspected criminal activity or unusual activities and occurrences.
Maintains up to the minute, detailed, and accurate logs.
Maintains the monitoring room in accordance with regulations and procedures.
Operates and maintains the Surveillance Digital System as directed.
Carries out directions of the Director of Surveillance in routine and investigative monitoring.
Reads and becomes thoroughly familiar with all approved policies and procedures for associates of other departments as set forth by the S.O.P.s (Standard Operating Procedures).
Be knowledgeable of State Regulations and Minimum Internal Controls.
Follows GuestPath Universal Service Standards, Operational Service Standards, and SERVE expectations at all times.
Performs duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
Performs any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position's job description, where, in the Company's judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Must have sufficient visual ability to observe monitor screens. Auditory ability to hear equipment, alarms and communication by radio and or telephone.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a confined and dark area with low temperatures.
Money handling skills with ability to review money transactions.
Team player who is comfortable working with other team members of various levels.
Qualify to obtain and maintain a Gaming License and pass drug screening upon hire.
Agree to sign and honor a Confidentiality Agreement.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma. Prefer 1 year of surveillance experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Associate must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
