Supplier Development Engineer
Lebanon, Ohio
In this essential role, you will champion supplier development in the areas of program launch, quality, cost and/or delivery. Specific responsibilities include the monitoring of suppliers performance and initiating concrete actions when problems that impact the quality and delivery of product and/or quality system arise. Additionally, you will be tasked with obtaining materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and timing requirements. Importantly, you will be expected to study market trends and develop commodity strategies, analyze quotations and select suppliers.
To qualify, you should hold a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business and possess five years of supplier development and buyer experience. Demonstrated supplier monitoring performance is sought, along with TS16949 experience. A background that encapsulates the Toyota Production System, as well as OE/Automotive Industry experience is highly preferred. Your resume may also reveal past experience as a Project/Program Manager, Buyer or Sourcing Specialist.
