Summary:
We are seeking a project manager to join our growing team.
The project manager will be responsible for performing their job duties in a safe and professional manner.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the construction industry, but training is provided.
Must have a valid driver's license and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
The project manager will be responsible to get to various job sites throughout the area and manager multiple foremen.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
Call in public and private locates.
Make copies of prints for field and yourselfMake sure dropbox has all information needed or the crew.
Make sure crew has all equipment lined up and mobilized to the job.
Staking/layout is complete and ready before crew shows up.
Make sure customer has everything ready for us before we mobilize.
Meet with crew on first day of job and walk-through the job with them.
Make sure they understand the job and prints.
Once a job has started make job site visits to make sure everything is running smoothly, answer any questions and keeping things lined out ahead of them.
Safety on the job is being followed per OSHA standards and customer/OVE policies Managing subcontractors.
As-builts once job is complete.
Report injuries and other accidents to the VP of ConstructionContinued communication with the customer throughout the jobObserve and promote safety compliance.
Complete 20 hours of OVE required safety training annually.
Participate in random drug screenings.
Office DutiesManpower (making sure manpower is where it needs to for your crews).
Assisting in recruiting and retention of employeesAssisting with managing of OVE equipment on your site.
Making sure all equipment is working per manufactures recommendations and all equipment workorders are filled out and or taken care of.
Control and tracking of rental equipment.
Scheduling (this will be a group effort)Communication between the Columbus PM'S and the Cincinnati/Dayton PM'STraining of new employees and teaching them the OVE WayGather all information needed for billing, once per month.
Approve and sign job cost invoices.
Manage T&M tickets.
Look at new projects to help with estimating, as needed.
Customer relationsBring in new business.
Communicating issues and solving issues with manpower, schedule, and equipmentRequired Skills &
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience and knowledge of underground utility constructionCustomer service skills to communicate with inspectors and administration to develop positive working relationship.
Analytical skills for handling unexpected issues and delaysInitiative for generating business opportunities.
Leadership skills for delegating tasks to subcontractors and employeesSpeaking skills for providing clear orders to subcontractors and employeesTechnical skills for interpreting construction methods, specifications, and drawingsHistory of working successfully with a team to complete a common goal, team player.
Time management skills to meet deadlines.
Writing skills to document work progress, change orders and everyday reporting.
Regularly report project status to project managers and or GCKnowledge and experience on how to read and understand blueprints.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA guidelines, equipment, and construction proceduresHigh school or equivalent educationValid Driver's license with a good driving recordSubject to pre-employment drug test and MVRAbility to follow instruction.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with crew, leadership, and clients.
Must be able to meet physical demands of the position; ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Excellent vision or the use of prescription lensesExceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationPerform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time in unfavorable weather conditions.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
